Verse 1
Worship isn't music or the songs that people write
It isn't hands that are lifted up or the voices in the choir
Though the voices are loudly singing,
and the hands are lifted high,
there still is something missing and He keeps from drawing nigh.

Verse 2
The mistake is often made,
of thinking that He's pleased,
When the polished band is playing,
and we're singing on our knees.
But the Lord is not impressed by how many members in the band,
The colors of our sanctuaries, or the lifting of our hands.

Chorus
Worship isn't music, or the songs that people play.
Worship isn't singing all the parts.
Worship is the Savior in everything we do.
Worship is a matter of the heart.

Verse 3
See the precious children,
this gift is from the Lord
We hope that someone teaches them,
We pray they're not ignored.
We pray that God will heal the sick,
And give sight to the blind,
Please use the elders in my church,
Cause I don't have the time.

Verse 4
Entertainers and complainers never seem to get involved,
The church is never good enough, things never get resolved.
Sweet voices still are ringing, all in one accord,
The hallelujahs ringing, but few are to the Lord.

Chorus
Worship isn't music, or the songs that people play.
Worship isn't singing all the parts.
Worship is the Savior in everything we do.
Worship is a matter of the heart.
